A bit about me. . .
My name is Hannah. I am a full time mum to my 2 wonderful children, as well as the author of the Dreamy dragon bedtime stories.
I have a musical background and have always been drawn to all things creative. I grew up surrounded by music, I studied Art, Drama and Music Technology in College, followed by a Vocal diploma at the Academy of Contemporary music.
Music has always been deeply rooted within me and is still a big part of my life now.
My children are still quite young and, like many, can find it tricky to calm down from the excitement of the day and gently fall asleep.
How did Dreamy Dragon begin. . .
The idea for Dreamy Dragon Bedtime Stories first began when I decided to start creating personalised sleepy bedtime audio stories for my own children.
The stories they were listening to on their Yoto players at bedtime, were quite exciting and upbeat. Although the stories were fun and engaging, they were not helping them reach that dreamy, relaxing state that I could see they needed.
I wanted to calm their busy minds by taking their imaginations on a magical journey, helping them feel relaxed, happy and peaceful. Ready for a good night's sleep.
Studies have shown that the words we listen to before and as we fall asleep can have a positive effect on our subconscious minds, which is thought to be more receptive whilst we are in a relaxed state.
Embracing positive thoughts and the feeling of holistic calm prior to falling asleep can have a powerful impact on your well being.
By using personalised storytelling to create magical bedtime experiences for children, they drift off to sleep with enchanted imaginations and this in turn will help foster a love for bedtime and storytelling.
